The heroine of Breaking Hollywood starts from an even messier place, carrying bad luck, practical problems, and a forced living arrangement that could go wrong in ten different ways. In both books, the romance works because the women are not dazzled for long. They notice the charm, sure, but they also notice the attitude, the drinking, the mood swings, and the parts of Hollywood men that the public does not see.

These books are connected more by tone and setting than by one big continuing plot, which makes them easy to pick up if you want a fast, flirty escape. Expect forced proximity, famous men having to act like normal human beings, and heroines who are unimpressed enough to make that difficult. If you like rom-com energy with heat, film-set chaos, and a little sparkle without losing the emotional mess underneath, the Wardrobe books are an easy place to start.
