Tone-wise, this is dark fantasy with plenty of motion. There are monsters, ruins, gods with agendas, and the lingering weight of a demon-ravaged past that much of the world has half forgotten. At the same time, Hogan keeps the focus on belief, identity, and the way power can twist devotion. The series asks what people are willing to serve, and what they become after serving it for too long.

At the moment, the books on this page mostly give you the foundation of the story rather than a long completed arc, but it is a strong foundation.
