The Second Fate of Elodie Devine starts with a sharp twist on the usual fated-mates setup. Elodie is not entering a magical world for the first time. It feels a little glossier and more mystery-driven than some of Chase's older books while keeping her usual mix of longing, danger, and emotionally intense romance.
