The Lion of Wales goes even further back into Arthurian Britain, to the years after Rome and the hard fighting that followed. The series opens in 537, with Arthur and the people still loyal to him pushed into a last refuge in north Wales. They are surrounded, outnumbered, and carrying the feeling that defeat may already be on its way.
