The Killer Confession Books in Order

The opening installment traces Jack Morrison's origins before his birth, beginning with his mother's work as a prostitute and a violent attack. Her experience introduces the serial's question of whether a killer is born or shaped by circumstance.

Jack hires a sex worker named Michelle, but the encounter has little to do with ordinary desire. Instead, he seeks a disturbing form of role-play that lets him feel close to his dead mother and attempt a farewell.

Jack's childhood unfolds under an alcoholic mother who resents that he is a boy and sends him to school in dresses. Targeted by bullies, he absorbs their cruelty while an increasingly dangerous anger builds beneath his quiet exterior.

Left alone in Jack's house, Steve Chappo must decide whether to return to his parents and sister or remain and begin another life. Problems at home complicate his choice as the serial introduces a new perspective on violence.

Steve Chappo returns home after weeks away to find his mother nearing the end of her battle with cancer and his father acting strangely. Meanwhile, a voice in Steve's head increasingly encourages him to indulge his darker thoughts.

After her mother's death and a change in her father's behavior, Debra leaves home hoping for a fresh start. With little money and limited experience, she soon becomes trapped in a life she had wanted to escape.
