Series background & context

The Huxleys series, sometimes called The Huxley Brothers, spins off from the wider billionaire world to focus on three brothers whose childhoods left them wary of love and deeply suspicious of anyone’s motives. Their stories lean hard into arranged marriages, fake relationships and the slow work of healing old scars.

Ares Huxley, a billionaire lawyer with a traumatic past, opens the series. Kidnapped by his mother and left to die in a fire as a boy, he has turned emotional distance into armor. To secure a crucial promotion at his firm he suddenly needs a wife, and wakes after a friend’s bachelor party to find himself married to an eccentric blonde he barely remembers meeting. Determined to annul the mistake, he instead discovers she needs a husband to access her inheritance and is willing to be his ideal partner for six months, no feelings allowed.

Their rules are simple, at least on paper. Share a bed, stay married for a set period, keep their hearts out of it. Living together turns out to be much messier. Her warmth wins over his family. Learning how badly her own relatives treat her awakens a protective streak he does not want to acknowledge. The fake marriage structure gives the book a fun, tropey surface while quietly digging into what safety and trust really mean for someone like Ares.

Upcoming stories follow his brothers. Bryce Huxley is the one who swears he hates his college sweetheart after an ugly breakup, until news that she is marrying a rival makes him crash the wedding and steal her away. Josh Huxley, the workaholic brother entangled with a glamorous fiancée he does not love, faces the fact that the woman who truly understands him might be the shy twin sister lurking in the background.

Throughout the series, long running threads about their parents’ decisions, old betrayals and the family legacy weave through the romances. The Huxleys blends high heat with generous doses of drama and redemption. It is a good fit if you like scarred heroes, protective brothers and heroines who gradually convince those men that vulnerability is not a weakness.
