Series background & context

The Dragon's Space Order Bride combines two favorite paranormal-romance ideas: dragon shifters and a journey far from Earth. The result is a short science-fiction romance series in which human women encounter powerful alien dragons and have to decide what they want from an impossible new life.

The setting is part of the fun.

Dragon's Paradise begins on an island planet that sounds like an escape until its heroine learns that the world, and the dragon shifter drawn to her, come with complications. The follow-up, Dragon's Touch, turns toward a more dangerous situation involving a woman expected to play a role she never chose.

The heroes are dragon shifters, which means their instincts run strong and their protectiveness can be overwhelming. But the central tension is not simply whether they will claim a mate. The women have been removed from familiar ground and must work out whether the attraction they feel is enough to trust a world that makes no sense to them yet.

These books are brief and move quickly. There is little time spent wandering through complicated space politics. Instead, the story gets to the meeting, the danger, and the emotional choice. Alien settings, dragon magic, and fated-mate energy provide the backdrop for romances that are direct and high heat.

The series also has a lighter adventure feel than a grim survival story. The planets may be strange, but they offer room for wonder as well as threat. A heroine can be startled by the reality of dragons and still find herself curious about the life she might have with one.

Read Dragon's Paradise first, followed by Dragon's Touch. The books share the same broad world and tone, making them a quick stop for readers who enjoy dragons, space settings, and compact fated-mate romances.
