The Dracol Books in Order

The Dracol series is Michelle Howard's dragon-shifter world, but it does not play like a simple fantasy romance. These books lean into leadership, clan loyalty, fragile peace, and the very personal mess that comes from fated mates when the people involved are carrying old wounds.

The opening novel, Rylin's Fire, introduces a lonely ruler who thinks love has already passed him by. Rylin leads the Black Dracol after losing the future he expected, and his meeting with Dara gives the series its emotional blueprint, proud, powerful men getting completely undone by women who do not fit their plans.
