The Campbell Books in Order

The Campbell books are a good reminder that Angie Daniels does not stick to one romance formula for very long. This small series is connected by family, but the stories themselves move between romantic suspense, matchmaking chaos, and personal secrets in a way that keeps the world from feeling repetitive.

Love Uncovered is the more suspense-driven of the two. Chenoa Campbell is a detective trying to solve the murder of her former partner, and the case forces her to work with Zearl Sinclair, a man from her past. That gives the story both a crime plot and a romance plot, and Daniels lets the danger sharpen the emotional tension instead of distracting from it.

When I First Saw You takes a different route. Chante Campbell ends up trapped in the fallout from an online engagement her grandfather arranged without her permission. The setup is funny at first, but the book quickly becomes about honesty, trust, and what happens when one lie leads to another around a man she might actually want.

What ties the series together is the Campbell family frame. These women are not isolated from relatives, expectations, or history. Family can be supportive, meddling, or both, and that gives the books their shared flavor even when the plots are doing different things.

That variety is part of the appeal. If you want a neat one-note series where every book hits the same beat, this is probably not that. But if you like family-connected romances where one book leans into investigation and the next leans into emotional complication, the Campbells work well.

Start with Love Uncovered if you want the stronger suspense thread first. Then move to When I First Saw You for a more relationship-driven story with a memorable matchmaking twist.
