Series background & context
The Texas Knights MC is where much of Bowerman's Rojo story begins. Started by lifelong friends Bill Duke and Smokey Forrester, the club is built on history, family loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility to the town around it. Even when life pulls people apart, that foundation stays in place.
Compared with some biker series, the Knights feel especially rooted in community. These books are not about men cut off from ordinary life. They are about parents, children, old friends, neighbors, and club brothers whose personal lives are all tangled together. As leadership shifts to the next generation, the series follows the Duke children and the people around them as they deal with danger, loss, healing, and falling in love.
Family is the real engine here.
That is what makes the Knights such an important starting point for the wider Rojo universe. Later series grow out of these relationships, but the emotional pattern starts here: protective people, hard-earned trust, and romance that has to survive real-world trouble. If you want the foundation under Rojo, the Knights are it.
