Straight Wicked Books in Order

Straight Wicked is Kristine Allen's rock-star series, but the music is only part of the draw. At the center are the four members of a hugely successful band and the people close enough to them to get hurt when everything starts to crack. Fame is there, sure, but these books are much more interested in grief, addiction, love that lingers too long, and the way family can both save you and wreck you.

The series begins with Make Music With Me, which sets the tone immediately. Levi MacKenzie is not just a singer with fans and swagger. He is a woman in love with her dead brother's fiancée, and that choice alone tells you this series is not aiming for easy romance. It moves through grief and guilt before it ever lets itself settle into hope. Snare My Heart follows drummer Dominic Salvatore and turns a plea for help into a marriage-of-convenience story with sharp edges. No Treble Allowed shifts to Logan MacKenzie, the band's bass player, whose story leans hard into damage, desire, and the fear that he may ruin anything good that gets near him. String Me Up closes out the core band books with Aiden Westbrook, a guitarist who wants revenge almost as much as he wants the woman who broke him.

This series is messier than it looks.

Allen has said the idea first grew from a veteran who got out of the military and started a band with his brother and two friends, and you can still feel that skeleton underneath the rock-star setup. These are not untouchable celebrities floating above ordinary life. They are people dragging old wounds through sold-out shows, family bonds, temptation, and emotional fallout.

Music gives the series its own atmosphere. Songs matter. Performances matter. The push and pull between public persona and private wreckage matters. But the strongest thread is how closely tied the band members are to one another. Their relationships do not stay neatly inside one book. A bad decision in one story can shake the whole group.

If you like romance with a little glamour but do not want it polished smooth, Straight Wicked is a strong place to go. Read it in order, starting with Make Music With Me. The books work best when you watch the band build, fracture, and hold itself together one member at a time.
