Iced Books in Order

The Iced series shifts Kristine Allen out of biker territory and onto the ice, but it keeps a lot of the things her readers usually come for. These books follow the players of the Austin Amurs, a pro hockey team whose locker room friendship starts to feel a lot like another version of found family. The tone is different from the MC series, lighter on outlaw culture and heavier on career pressure, but the emotional stakes are still high and the men are still complicated.

Each book takes its title from a hockey penalty, and that is more than a cute naming gimmick. The titles point to the way these guys move through relationships too fast, too rough, or without thinking about the fallout. Hooking starts with Alex Kosinski, a left wing whose forbidden relationship with Sydney hits right when his past is ready to blow up his future. Tripping follows Cameron McGregor, a player used to getting what he wants until Bleu makes him work for it. Roughing gives team captain Kristoffer Halvorson a marriage-of-convenience setup with real danger underneath. Holding turns to goaltender Jordan Beck, whose carefully controlled life gets wrecked by love, pride, and a looming baby from a previous relationship.

Then there is Fighting Love.

Mikko Heikkinen's story widens the emotional range of the series. Meeting Sutton on a plane to Finland while she is alone on what should have been her honeymoon tells you almost everything you need to know about this set of books. Allen likes a strong hook, but she also likes watching two people try to bargain with chemistry they are clearly going to lose to.

The hockey setting gives the series a nice rhythm. There are games, trades, travel, team politics, legacy pressure, and the constant fear that one bad choice can damage both a career and a relationship. But the books never get so wrapped up in sports details that the romance gets buried. If anything, the rink sharpens the stakes because these men are used to structure and competition, while love keeps making them improvise.

If you want Allen's intensity in a more contemporary, sports-centered package, this is the place to start. Read Hooking first, then keep going in order. The camaraderie builds across the team, and the later books land better once you already know who these players are when they are off the ice.
