Shelter Rock Cove Books in Order

Shelter Rock Cove is another of Barbara Bretton's coastal series, this time set in Maine. The mood is gentle, restorative, and romantic, but the characters do not arrive in easy circumstances. They are often grieving, regrouping, or trying to imagine a future after plans have fallen apart.

That makes the cove more than a pretty backdrop. It is a place where people come to catch their breath. In A Soft Place to Fall, a young widow tries to begin again while a complicated newcomer lands next door. In Girls of Summer, the focus shifts, but the feeling remains the same, smart, adult characters trying to sort out work, love, reputation, and the life they actually want.
