Scorned by Blood is one of the darker corners of Heather Renee's connected paranormal world. At its center is a young hunter bent on avenging her family, and Maciah West, the vampire who crashes into her life just as the past starts catching up with her.
What makes this trilogy fun is the push and pull between revenge and revelation. The heroine has spent years defining herself by the monsters she wants dead, so learning that vampires are tied to her own future hits hard.
