Series background & context

Luna Marked is one of Heather Renee's most accessible wolf shifter trilogies, because it begins with a heroine who knows almost nothing about the world she is being pulled into. Cait thinks she is human. Then a crescent mark appears on her wrist, her best friend turns out to be a shifter, and Roman, the local alpha, is suddenly supposed to be her mate.

That is the hook, but the series does more than run on fate alone. Cait has to figure out what the mark means, why the wolf goddess chose her, and why she seems to sit slightly outside the rules everyone else takes for granted. Roman is protective and stubborn, but the books work because Cait pushes back. She does not just slide into pack life without questions.

There is a real found family feeling here, mixed with pack politics, supernatural threats, and the slow realization that Cait is changing in ways nobody fully expected. The trilogy stays focused on one couple, which gives their bond room to grow while the surrounding world keeps raising the stakes.

It is an easy binge.

If you like wolf romances that mix destiny, humor, danger, and a heroine learning her own strength in public, Luna Marked is a strong place to start.
