Ryoshi Delta Books in Order

Ryoshi Delta takes Maddie Wade's romantic suspense in a serial-killer-task-force direction. Instead of a broad private security setup or a black ops unit serving the Crown, this series centers on a specialist team built to hunt killers who are clever, brutal, and often deeply personal to the people chasing them. That gives the books a tighter investigative shape. The danger feels immediate, and the cases tend to push straight into the characters' private lives.

The series begins with Condor’s Vow, where Clay 'Condor' East steps up to lead the new task force and quickly finds himself trying to protect emergency nurse Hattie Pollard from the kind of threat he is supposed to stop. That first book lays out the pattern clearly. Each story pairs an agent or specialist from Ryoshi Delta with someone whose life is about to collide with the case. Romance grows in the middle of long hours, real fear, and the knowledge that the next victim could be somebody they love.

That is where the series gets its bite.

Sandstorm’s Promise, Hawk’s Honor, Omega’s Oath, and Lyric’s Truth keep widening the team without losing the core appeal. There are copycat killers, family secrets, undercover pasts, women trying to protect themselves, and men who know exactly how ugly the world can get. Wade uses those setups well because she does not treat the investigation as wallpaper. The jobs matter here. Profilers, agents, analysts, and witnesses all bring something concrete to the page, and the killers are not abstract villains drifting in from nowhere.

Even so, Ryoshi Delta is not a cold procedural. The series is warm-blooded in the places that count. These books care about damaged people, chosen family, and the relief of finally being seen by someone who understands what you carry. That is why the romances land. A nurse, a profiler, an author, or a woman from a criminal family is not just there to be rescued. The love stories work because both people matter to the case and to the emotional center of the book.

The tone sits in a nice middle space. It is darker than a light romantic suspense and more case-driven than a pure contemporary romance, but it is still very much about hope. The characters are hunting monsters, yes, but they are also trying to build ordinary futures out of very unordinary lives.

If you like serial-killer investigations with a strong team setup and plenty of heart, Ryoshi Delta is an easy series to sink into. Read it in order if you can, because the relationships inside the unit keep getting better as the books go on.
