The Right to Know books, also known as the Peregrine Rising duology, are space-opera adventures set around a newly rediscovered world and the people fighting over who gets to control it. The stories mix interplanetary travel, political secrets, military pressure, and ordinary people forced to decide what freedom really costs.

The first book, Right to Know, begins with Art Stoddard, civilian information officer aboard the generation ship Mayflower II. His past injuries and memories matter as much as the new threat, giving the sequel a more personal angle on the aftermath of conflict.

Together, the two books tell a story about a society trying to decide what it will become after isolation and war. Peregrine is not just a backdrop. Its difficult terrain, divided loyalties, and contested history shape every choice. Characters face conspiracies, escapes, hidden agendas, hostile machines, and the uncomfortable fact that heroes can carry scars long after the fighting stops.

The tone is brisk and adventurous, with enough political intrigue to keep the stakes larger than any one chase or fight. Readers can expect a compact science-fiction setting, clear forward momentum, and characters who are tested by responsibility as much as danger.
