Series background & context

Return to Willoughby Close picks up after the first village arc and lets readers spend more time in Wychwood-on-Lea. The setting stays the same, but the books shift toward returning characters, newcomers who need a place to land, and the way a community changes over time.

There is still romance, plenty of it, but these later books also lean into memory, family reconnection, and the comforting repetition of village life through the seasons. Christmas, cake shops, local businesses, and old friendships all matter.

If you already like the atmosphere of Willoughby Close, this follow-on sequence gives you more of what works, warm community, emotionally bruised characters, and hopeful endings earned a little at a time.
