Raven Bay Mysteries Books in Order

Astrid Atwood comes back to Raven Bay feeling like the city beat her. Moving home seems embarrassing enough, but then a body washes up on the lakeshore and the ghost starts asking for help. That is also when Astrid learns the family secret she somehow missed before, there is witch blood in her line, and Raven Bay is not the sleepy place she thought it was.

Raven Bay is a hometown-return series, so a lot of the tension comes from old relationships. Astrid keeps running into former classmates, old friends, and the version of herself she thought she left behind. At the same time, she is uncovering magical secrets that have been buried in the town for years. That makes the mysteries feel personal without turning grim.

The lake setting gives the books a distinct mood. Raven Bay feels pretty on the surface, but water, memory, and old secrets keep pulling trouble back up. Astrid also has a talking cat and a sheriff she may or may not be ready to fall for, which keeps the tone playful even when the cases get dangerous.

This is one of Webb's tighter series, with four books and a strong central setup. If you like ghost witnesses, small-town history, and a heroine piecing herself back together while solving murders, Raven Bay is a solid choice.
