Series background & context

The Racy Reunions books are contemporary romances about people who cannot quite leave the past where it belongs. Old relationships, unfinished hurt, and secrets return when former classmates, friends, or lovers end up in one another's lives again.

In Paying for the Past, Her Christmas Lie, and Cupid's Revenge, the emotional question is not simply whether two people are attracted. It is whether they can be honest about what went wrong before and decide if the risk of trying again is worth it.

History has a long memory.

The series moves between everyday complications and heightened romantic setups, including holiday pressure, military connections, Valentine trouble, and the kind of social awkwardness that comes with seeing someone who once knew you too well. The characters have grown up, but growth does not erase every misunderstanding.

Expect quick contemporary reads with banter, family or community involvement, and a strong second-chance thread. Each book has its own central couple and can work alone, but reading in order adds to the sense of a shared world where the past keeps turning up at inconvenient moments. Start with Paying for the Past for the first reunion and the clearest introduction to the series.
