Princes (Linsey Miller) Books in Order

Linsey Miller's Princes books are young adult fantasy retellings that move familiar Disney stories into the princes' points of view. In Prince of Thorns & Nightmares, Prince Phillip faces the world of Sleeping Beauty. He has long been told that his future is fixed, including his planned marriage to Aurora, but a burst of magic draws him into a prophecy against Maleficent. Working with fairies to recover ancient artifacts would be difficult enough. Then Phillip begins meeting a sharp-tongued girl named Briar Rose in dreams, separated from him by a thorn maze.

Prince of Glass & Midnight turns to Prince August of Charmant, the prince at the heart of Cinderella. Still grieving his mother and facing pressure to marry, August escapes court life for five days to investigate a magical memory curse in a village from his childhood. There he reconnects with Ella, a friend he has not seen for years, while the spreading curse forces them to uncover what is happening before time runs out.

These novels keep the romance readers expect from fairy tales, while giving equal weight to adventure, family expectations, magical mysteries, and political responsibility. Miller's princes are not simply waiting for a story to happen to them. They have to question what they have been told about their futures and decide what kind of leaders and partners they want to be.
