Series background & context

The Pinecraft Pie Shop novels, written by Tricia Goyer with Sherry Gore, are Amish romances set in Pinecraft, Florida. Instead of the familiar cold-weather farm country, the series uses sunshine, beaches, community gatherings, and a pie shop as the backdrop for stories about work, loss, friendship, and love.

The first book, Made with Love, follows Lovina Miller, who dreams of opening a pie shop where people can gather. Amish carpenter Noah Yoder offers to help make that dream real, but both carry painful memories that make trust difficult. The shop is not just a business plan. It is a chance to build a new life.

Planted with Hope continues the community setting and the emphasis on food, family, and practical dreams. Sewn with Joy turns to Joy, whose sewing skills bring her into the orbit of a television production and create a conflict with the expectations of her Amish community.

Pie is important here, but people come first.

The tone is warm and romantic, with enough real-life pressure to keep the stories moving. The authors make room for recipes and the pleasures of a close community, while their characters wrestle with grief, old mistakes, family loyalties, and the fear of choosing the wrong future.

Read the books in order, starting with Made with Love, then Planted with Hope and Sewn with Joy. Each romance has its own central couple, but the return to Pinecraft and its growing pie shop gives the series its easygoing continuity.
