Tricia Goyer's Big Sky books follow Amish characters whose lives become tied to West Kootenai, Montana. Beside Still Waters introduces Marianna Sommer. She expects a predictable Amish future, but her family moves to Montana after conflicts at home. New neighbors, new questions, and an unexpected friendship change the way she sees faith and belonging.

Along Wooded Paths and Beyond Hope's Valley continue Marianna's story. Later books return to the same Montana community with new characters, including Beyond the Gray Mountains, On the Golden Cliffs, and Under the Blue Skies.
