Pete McCarthy Books in Order

Pete McCarthy travels Ireland's western coast, exploring his mother's homeland while stopping at pubs bearing his surname. Encounters with locals, late-night conversations, and changing landscapes shape this humorous account of heritage, hospitality, and a country in transition.

Following Irish emigrant connections around the world, Pete McCarthy searches for people and places linked to his surname. His travels combine encounters with scattered communities, questions of belonging, and comic observations about the persistence of Irish identity abroad.
