Deeds of Wisdom continues to expand Paksenarrion's setting with tales of older, more experienced characters facing new problems. These stories highlight the hard won judgment that comes after war and magic, and how wisdom does not always make decisions any easier.
Deeds of Youth

Deeds of Youth focuses on formative adventures in Paksenarrion's world, following younger versions of key figures as they make the choices that shape later events. The stories give extra context to friendships, grudges, and legends that echo through the main novels.
Deeds of Honor

Deeds of Honor gathers shorter works set in Paksenarrion's world, spotlighting side characters, lost episodes, and quiet corners rarely seen in the main novels. These stories add nuance to familiar events and show how small choices shape the larger histories people later call legend.

Series background & context
Under the broad Paksenarrion banner lies a whole cluster of stories set in the same richly built fantasy world sometimes called Paksworld. It starts with one runaway sheepfarmer's daughter and grows into a multi generational tale about saints, soldiers, and the hard work of making and keeping peace.
Paksenarrion herself anchors the original trilogy, moving from raw recruit to seasoned veteran to paladin. Those books put you in the ranks of a mercenary company, then pull you along as she learns that courage is not the same thing as not being afraid and that faith can demand more than anyone thought possible.
Other volumes step backward and forward in time. The Gird prequels show how the laws and orders Paks takes for granted were born in blood and compromise. Later novels like the Paladin's Legacy sequence follow rulers, dukes, and captains living with the aftershocks of Paks's choices, dealing with new threats in kingdoms that still carry old scars.
Short story collections fill in the gaps with side characters, quiet corners of the world, and episodes that would not fit neatly into the big campaigns. Some stories explain how minor figures came to be in the right place at the right time, while others simply show farmers, craftsmen, and temple folk trying to live decent lives in a world where gods and magic are real.
Across all of these, the tone stays grounded. Battles have logistics and consequences, not just glory, and miracles are rare enough to feel startling when they come. Oaths, laws, and small daily choices count for as much as swords and spells.
For readers, the Paksenarrion books offer many possible entry points, from marching with Paks in the original trilogy to tracing the roots of rebellion with Gird or watching Kieri and Dorrin wrestle with power in the later series. Taken together, they build a world that feels lived in, layered, and morally complicated.
