Not This Books in Order

Not Her Gargoyle and Not Her Alpha keep expanding the cast, and Their Baby Dragon circles back to show how chaotic happily ever after can be when dragons are involved.

What makes the series fun is how connected it feels. These are romance novels with a different central couple in each book, but New Port itself is the real constant. Characters keep reappearing. Side figures get their turn in the spotlight. Old trouble never stays buried for long. A black grimoire in one story can become everyone else's problem in the next. A dragon feud can turn into neighborhood gossip. Even the jobs are memorable, from animal control work to odd little local businesses.

The tone leans funny, but the books are not weightless. A lot of the characters are lonely, rejected, broke, or stuck in roles that do not fit them. Betty has to deal with a pack that wrote her off. Jade carries guilt and magical baggage. Ruby and Nick are both trying, in their own messy way, to stop living on the edge. Even Eoin and Angie, the series' big dragon pair, have to work through fear, family, and the simple fact that love does not magically make life easy.

That blend is the charm. You get dragons, vampires, gargoyles, wolves, witches, and the occasional magical disaster, but the real stakes are usually personal. Can these characters trust each other? Can they build a home? Can they choose their own future instead of letting instinct, pack law, or family pressure choose it for them?

If you want paranormal romance that is warm, chatty, and full of returning characters, Not This is easy to sink into. It likes banter. It likes chaos. And underneath all the supernatural noise, it really likes watching misfits find their people.
