Not Giving Up Books in Order

Not Giving Up is a shorter series, but it does not play small. The books center on Brandon Christopher Asher II and Zoey, and the emotional tone is intense almost immediately. Brandon begins as the kind of man who has always had options, status, and attention, but his relationship with Zoey pushes him out of casual territory fast. Zoey is carrying a painful past, and that history shapes every decision she makes about love.

That is really the point. Brandon is not trying to charm a woman who only needs a little patience. He is trying to love someone who has been taught by experience that safety and happiness do not last. At the same time, outside forces keep closing in. Women from Brandon's past, men from Zoey's past, and the general sense that somebody always wants to ruin what they are building keeps the relationship under stress.

Because there are only two main books, the arc moves quickly and feels concentrated. Parks does not spend a long time wandering. She pushes the couple through attraction, fear, retaliation, and full protective obsession. Brandon becomes more and more ruthless as the threat level rises, which is a big part of the series' appeal for readers who like a hero turning savage in defense of the woman he loves.

If you want one of Posey Parks's more emotionally raw romance lines, this is a strong option. It has the crossover flavor of her other work, but the core experience is about one couple refusing to let trauma and outside interference make the final choice for them.
