Author bio
Nina Bocci was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and writes contemporary romance with a soft spot for small towns, close friends, and people figuring out what comes next. She is also a publicist, so her professional life has long kept her close to books and the people who make them.
Her first published novel arrived in 2016, when she teamed up with Alice Clayton for Roman Crazy. The story follows Avery Bardot, who heads to Rome after her marriage falls apart and unexpectedly reconnects with Marcello Bianchi, the Italian architect she once loved. It gave Bocci a debut built around friendship, travel, food, and the awkward pull of a second chance.
Sometimes a change of scenery really is the beginning of the story.
With Roman Crazy, Bocci helped create a romance that treats Rome as more than a pretty backdrop. Avery's trip is also a chance to ask what she wants from her own life after years of following a path that no longer fits. That interest in new starts, old feelings, and the support of a good friend carries into much of Bocci's later work.
Then she brought the focus home to Pennsylvania.
Her Hopeless Romantics books take place in Hope Lake, a fictional small town where history, family, work, and romance are always bumping into one another. The series opens with On the Corner of Love and Hate, in which Emma Peroni is pulled into managing the mayoral campaign of Cooper Endicott, a childhood friend who has become the person most likely to test her patience. Their shared past and the pressures of local politics give the book its push and pull.
The next novels keep returning to Hope Lake without simply repeating the same love story. In Meet Me on Love Lane, Charlotte Bishop comes back from New York after her career collapses and finds a town that has changed, along with people she never expected to need again. The Ingredients of You and Me follows baker Parker Adams as she tries to reset her life and faces an old flame. The holiday novella From Hope Lake, With Love gives the town a snowy, seasonal visit through the eyes of a travel journalist.
Her standalone novella A Vineyard Valentine takes a lighter detour to a family vineyard. It centers on Eloisa Giordono, who dislikes Valentine's Day but has to host both a singles event and an anti-Valentine's party, then finds herself distracted by a man who believes in romance.
Bocci's books tend to make room for jobs, family obligations, friend groups, and the everyday choices that sit beside a love story. Her author bio mentions her large Italian family and her son, details that fit the family-minded, food-friendly energy readers often find in her fiction.
