Special Agent Nikki Hunt returns to the town she left after her parents were murdered, and her first case there forces her to face the past she has spent years trying to manage.
Nikki is capable, sharp, and emotionally guarded for good reason.
In The Girls in the Snow, the bodies of two teenage girls are found in the forest. Nikki believes the killer is local, and the case soon connects to secrets from her own childhood.
