Rapture's Edge and Edge of Darkness push the mythology outward, following Shadow-walking art thief Eliana and the man she once loved, Demetrius, and then reclusive bookstore owner Ember Jones and cultured Ikati operative Christian McLoughlin. These stories bring in splinter factions, human enemies, and a growing movement that wants to drag the Ikati out of hiding.

Darkness Bound pits ruthless reporter Jack Dolan, who has publicly called for the Ikati’s extermination, against Hawk Luna, the panther who kidnaps her in an attempt to force a retraction and ends up falling for his captive. The final book, Into Darkness, jumps forward into a near-future dystopia where gifted Aberrants like Lumina Bohn are hunted by a global regime and must rely on enigmatic leader Magnus to survive.

Taken together, the series moves from hidden-world urban fantasy into full-on resistance story, but every installment still delivers a central romance with a satisfying emotional arc.
