New Realm Online Books in Order

New Realm Online is one of Wideman's clearest LitRPG series. It starts with Ryan Rosa getting the chance to play the newest big game, only to be betrayed by other players who want what he has. That early stab in the back matters because it shapes the whole series. Ryan is never just trying to grind levels in peace. He is building back from loss in a world where players can be as dangerous as monsters.

The books cover the classic pleasures of the subgenre, leveling, crafting, dungeons, odd monsters, and strong loot, but they also lean hard into guild life and community building. Ryan's decisions are rarely only about himself. Once Broken Bones starts becoming a real group, and later something closer to an empire, the scale of the story changes with it.

That sense of growth is what carries the series. RE-ROLL is about survival and starting over. Later books like Broken Bones, Empire of the Rose, and Heroic Deeds add war, politics, and the pressure of success. Even the side story Goon Squad helps flesh out the world by showing it from another angle.
