Mortal Beauty / The Immortal Game Books in Order

The Immortal Game, sometimes grouped with Mortal Beauty, is a young adult paranormal series about Edie Kramer, a teenager who survives an attack that should have killed her. Afterward, she is pulled into a hidden war involving ancient powers, dangerous bargains, and people who may not be what they seem.

Mortal Danger starts with Edie at a low point, isolated at school and desperate for a way to change her life. A mysterious offer gives her power, but it also ties her to a game with rules she does not understand. Her new allies are attractive, suspicious, and tangled in a conflict that has been going on for a long time.

Power always has a price.

The later books, Public Enemies and Infinite Risk, widen the supernatural world and force Edie to decide what kind of person she wants to be. Romance is important, but so are friendship, loyalty, identity, and the temptation to use power simply because it is available.

The series has the fast, heightened feeling of a dark YA fantasy. It uses school pressures and personal hurt as the starting point, then moves into bigger questions about immortality, revenge, manipulation, and choice. Edie is learning how to fight, but she is also learning not to let anyone else define her worth.

Start with Mortal Danger, followed by Public Enemies and Infinite Risk. Read in order, because the central relationships and the larger supernatural conflict continue directly across the trilogy.
