Series background & context
The Morgan Men series follows three successful brothers whose mother wants one thing money and career wins cannot give her: wives for her sons. The brothers have built impressive lives in Los Angeles, but each has gotten comfortable treating romance as something that can be managed, postponed, or kept separate from work. Zuri Day uses that family setup to tell three connected stories about men who discover that love does not follow a business plan.
The series begins with Love On the Run. Michael Morgan is a high-powered sports manager whose newest client is sprinter Shayna Washington. Shayna is talented, driven, and poised for bigger opportunities, but she is also dealing with a past relationship that will not stay in the past. Michael knows getting involved with a client is a bad idea, especially for a man used to avoiding commitment. Still, as Shayna needs support, the line between professional responsibility and personal feeling becomes impossible to ignore.
The Morgan brothers are used to being in control. That does not last.
A Good Dose of Pleasure follows doctor Gregory Morgan and artist Anise Cartier. Anise has left Nebraska for Los Angeles hoping for a fresh start after loss. Gregory is fighting for a major medical research grant and needs space for a new center, but the location clashes with Anise's plan to create an art shop. Their connection begins in the middle of a genuine disagreement about what should happen to a community space. It is a romance where ambition matters to both people, and neither is eager to surrender a dream.
The final book, Bad Boy Seduction, gives security-company founder Troy Morgan the toughest professional assignment of his life. He is hired to protect Gabriella Stone, a hugely successful pop singer whose controlling father has plans for her future. Troy is more than capable of guarding a celebrity, but he cannot protect Gabriella from every expectation placed on her, or from the risk of falling for the man hired to stay close. Gabriella has to decide whether she will keep living by her father's rules or make a future of her own.
Across the series, the Morgan family provides a sense of continuity. The brothers tease, advise, and step in when needed, while their mother keeps hoping they will finally make room for lasting relationships. The books combine career-focused characters with outside pressures, including a threatening ex, a battle over development, and the scrutiny that follows a famous singer.
The tone is sexy, warm, and rooted in family. Read the books in order to see the brothers' lives overlap, beginning with Love On the Run, then A Good Dose of Pleasure, and ending with Bad Boy Seduction.
