They begin as direct competitors, which means their attraction has to survive the pressure of cameras, judges, rival contestants, and the fact that neither wants to hand over a dream.

Food, work, and family are woven through all three books. The romances are steamy, but they are also interested in how people build a life with the resources they have. The Carter family brings humor and support, while the main couples have to decide whether being with someone who sees them clearly is worth changing a plan.

Read in order if you enjoy returning to the Carter household and seeing connections build from one book to the next. Driving Heat is the best place to begin, followed by Packing Heat and Sweet Heat.
