Moonstone Saga Books in Order

The Moonstone Saga is a mythology-based companion series that shares some DNA with the Bloodstone books but feels more focused and a little darker. It is built around immortals, curses, meddling gods, and a romance that could become catastrophic if the wrong power wins.

The central character is Empusa, usually called Em, a cursed immortal who has to survive by feeding on souls and mortal blood. That setup gives the series an immediate edge. Em is not a bubbly heroine waiting to discover a hidden destiny. She already knows that what she is makes ordinary happiness difficult.

Then Brennan enters the picture.

Brennan is the son of Apollo, and the contrast between them is the whole engine of the story. She is tied to moon power and darkness. He is tied to sun power and light. Their attraction is intense from the start, but in this world, intense attraction is not automatically good news. The same forces pulling them together can also make them dangerous to each other and to the mortal world around them.

Soul Kissed introduces that bond and the problem of whether love can exist alongside a curse like Em's. Soul Bound pushes the stakes higher, with divine games, rising power, and the constant pressure of outside forces that see the couple as useful, risky, or both.

The tone is romantic, but it is never just about the relationship. Questions of identity, control, appetite, and cosmic balance keep getting in the way. That gives the books a stronger fantasy backbone than some of Cole's purely contemporary work.
