Author bio

Molly Doyle started writing while she was still in grade school, then became a published author at sixteen. Her early work arrived before the book world she is best known for today, giving her career a clear before-and-after shape: first young love and emotional drama, then darker, more adult stories built around danger, desire, and secrets.

She later brought her work to an online writing platform, where it found a huge audience. That direct connection with readers helped turn writing from a long-running interest into the center of her working life. Doyle has said that her stories have reached millions of readers worldwide.

Her early standalones show where she began. From the Start follows a teenage girl starting over after her parents' divorce and falling for a guarded boy with a serious secret. Eighteenth Summer also leans into the uncertainty of late adolescence, family changes, first love, and the kind of choice that can reshape a young person's plans.

Those books are more straightforward contemporary romances, but they already focus on characters whose lives are unsettled. Doyle often begins with someone who has been pushed out of their comfort zone, then lets a relationship make the situation even messier. The feelings are immediate, and the stakes are personal.

Her later books take that impulse into much darker territory. In the Desires Duet, Sasha Pierce accepts a life-changing arrangement with the guarded Jaxon Edwards, and the romance is tied to power, trust, and old trauma. The two books work as one continuing story, so readers who want the full arc should begin with Dominant Desires.

Then came the masked world of Scream for Us, Bloodshed, Melt for Us, and Bloodbath. Set around Salem and centered on Quinn and three intensely protective masked men, these books mix romance with horror imagery, danger, violence, and a growing web of family and cult-related secrets. They are written for adult readers and come with substantial content warnings.

This is the lane many readers now associate most strongly with Doyle. Her official bio nods to the lasting appeal of her masked characters, and the books make clear why: the masks are not just costume details. They create suspense, anonymity, and a heightened Halloween mood that carries through the series.

Doyle has also worked with other writers. Sinners and Saints, created with Lana Sky, follows a grieving young woman and a dangerous man whose past is connected to the secrets surrounding her family. With J.D. Midnight, Doyle co-wrote Caution Tape, an erotic horror story about two people who recognize the same frightening impulses in each other.

Her catalog has changed a lot since those first teen romances. What connects it is an interest in characters under pressure, relationships that complicate everything, and stories that are not afraid to head into the dark. Doyle continues to write adult erotic romance while plotting the next unsettling turn for her characters.
