The Married series is Victorine E. Lieske's run of sweet romantic comedies about fake engagements, rushed vows, marriage bargains, and people who did not expect their pretend relationship to start feeling real. The books share a love of messy plans and escalating misunderstandings, while each novel centers on a new couple.

The first book, Accidentally Married, introduces aspiring actress Madison Nichols and tech CEO Jared Jameson. Madison thinks she is applying for a job, but a mix-up lands her in the role of Jared's paid girlfriend. Revenge, family expectations, and a staged wedding soon turn their arrangement into a much larger problem.

From there, the series keeps finding new ways to make marriage the least sensible answer to a difficult situation. A television co-hosts' on-air chemistry becomes a public dating story in Reluctantly Married. In Mistakenly Married, a Las Vegas mix-up leaves Penny and William tied to a marriage neither planned.

The setups are deliberately broad and funny, but the emotional center is simple. The characters have to decide whether they can trust the person beside them once the performance is over. Old hurts, job pressures, family demands, and embarrassment often make honesty feel much harder than another small lie.

Later installments bring in a fake engagement and a Hollywood marriage scheme. Blissfully Married follows a matchmaker whose pretend engagement gets in the way when an old crush returns. Acting Married gives a struggling single mother and a troubled actor a public marriage that is meant to repair his reputation.
