Series background & context

Married At Midnight is a trilogy built around one of Vivian Wood's favorite engines, a relationship that begins as a deal and gets more dangerous the longer it continues. Start with Deal With the Devil, then move straight to Wed To The Devil and Vow To The Devil. This is one couple, one story, and rising stakes all the way through.

The setup is strong and simple. A desperate woman agrees to marry a man people call the Devil. The marriage is supposed to solve practical problems, money, inheritance, appearances, survival. But because this is Vivian Wood, the arrangement comes wrapped in powerful families, lies, and a hero who is used to treating every relationship like a negotiation he can win.

The trilogy works because the fake part does not stay fake for long. As the couple moves deeper into his world, luxury and danger start looking a lot alike. Private planes and estates are nice, but they do not protect anyone from betrayal. If you like marriage-of-convenience romance with a darker, richer edge, this series is built to binge.
