Lowcountry Crimes Books in Order

The books build from there. Carolina Dreamer pulls Andy into another Charleston murder case, this time tied to a rising country singer with secrets of her own. Carolina Monster brings local legend and rural fear into play as whispers of the Scarecrow start circling again. Carolina Savior keeps the focus on the gap between public stories and private truth, which is a recurring strength in this series.

Charleston and the wider lowcountry matter as more than backdrop. Stone uses the region's history, atmosphere, and sense of layered identity well. These books feel less like beach escapism and more like crimes unfolding in places where everybody remembers something, hides something, or has reason to avoid looking too closely.

Even so, they are still quick reads. Stone's style stays direct, and the plots keep moving. What changes is the emotional temperature. The Andy Winslow books carry more dread, more family damage, and more of that uneasy feeling that evil can wear a familiar face.
