Even Now

Series background & context

Lost Love is a two-book story that starts with a missing piece of identity and turns into a family reunion nobody knows how to handle. It is built around a simple, powerful hook: a young woman has been raised by her grandparents, and she cannot stop wondering about the parents who gave her up.

In Even Now, Emily Anderson begins searching for her birth parents. Her questions pull two people back together who once shared a deep teenage romance, then lost each other through choices, fear, and circumstance. The emotional tension is not about whether the past mattered, it is about whether the past can be faced without destroying the present.

The book is romantic, but it is also a story about belonging.

Ever After follows Emily as she tries to build her own future while her newly found family is still learning how to be a family. A new relationship enters the picture, and the realities of military life and deployment add pressure that cannot be solved with good intentions. The series keeps returning to the same question: what does love require when it asks you to be brave?

These novels are best read in order, because the second book depends on the emotional groundwork of the first. If you like stories about adoption, reconciliation, and faith that has to hold up under real stress, Lost Love delivers that in a tight, easy-to-follow arc.
