The Last Bucelarii is where Andy Peloquin's Hunter of Voramis saga first took shape. These books introduce the same core figure readers later meet in Hero of Darkness and Darkblade, a feared assassin with missing memories, inhuman resilience, and a cursed blade that demands blood. If you want to see the earliest published version of that story, this is the place.

The hook is immediate. The Hunter is deadly, isolated, and pulled forward by contracts, vengeance, and fragments of a past he cannot quite reach. That gives the series a dark fantasy engine that is easy to buy into from page one.
