Watching her push back against a man everyone else fears sets the tone for the whole series.

In Fierce Queen, that marriage of convenience has become something more complicated. Alana has taken her place at Alejandro’s side, but being queen to the King of L.A. means navigating rival cartels, old grudges and the fallout from both of their pasts. The romance is as much about trust and forgiveness as it is about obsession and heat.

The later books, Fierce Betrayal and Fierce Obsession, turn the spotlight onto the people orbiting Alejandro and Alana. Jackson Decker, the king’s tattooed right-hand man, falls for the one woman he should never touch, while long-running tensions inside the Montoya family explode into open conflict. Although each romance stands on its own, the series is designed to feel like one continuous saga. Side characters from earlier books grow into leads, quiet comments in the background pay off several novels later, and the Montoyas’ war with their enemies threads through everything. Expect explicit heat, brutal confrontations and a constant sense that happiness has to be fought for.

Names drop, alliances are hinted at and occasionally familiar faces from New York or London wander through Los Angeles. L.A.
