Kara Milton gets dragged into that mess because she has her own secret to protect.

By the final book, Evan is trapped inside a government war machine and has become dangerous on a terrifying scale, while Kara is pushed deeper into the digital battlefield itself. The trilogy keeps raising the question of whether there is any clean way to stop a weapon that thinks, hates, and learns.

Evan is not a tidy hero, which helps. He is angry, unstable, and often horrifying. Kara is easier to root for, but she is compromised from the start, and that moral messiness suits the series. If you like fast thrillers, corporate rot, techno-horror, and stories where the internet feels like a haunted house with better branding, Glitch is very much in that lane.
