Galactic Sentinel Books in Order

Galactic Sentinel is a military science-fiction series about a fragile interstellar alliance facing danger from outside its borders and inside its institutions. The story begins with The North Star, where First Commander Jason Grimshaw is leading a routine training mission to Colony 115 aboard the starship Bakura. An unidentified alien vessel turns that ordinary assignment into a crash landing on a hostile world.

Grimshaw's crew is scattered, the ship is wrecked, and the people left standing need to survive long enough to warn the Galactic Council about a new threat. Ensign Clio Evans is separated from the others and has an army between her and the crew. Her determination to make it back, along with the secrets she is carrying, gives the opening story much of its forward drive.

The series does not stay in one place for long.

While the first book follows the aftermath of the crash, it also opens a second front on Sentinel Station. Randis Kahn is caught between warring gangs and a political conspiracy in the station's lower levels. That thread helps establish the larger setting, where military orders, local crime, and Council politics can all collide. The galaxy feels busy and divided, with plenty of people trying to protect their own corner of it.

In Enter The Shroud, the focus shifts to the Galactic Sentinel itself. Grimshaw, Evans, and Taza expect to check in with the Council and return to their home base, but riots and rumors of Chimera terrorists turn the station into a pressure cooker. They need the Council's help to answer an invasion threat, yet the people in charge may be part of the problem.

The Shadow Falls raises the stakes again when an ancient disease threatens one of the Alliance's few allies. Grimshaw and Evans head into enemy territory in search of a cure, while Taza stays in the Shroud to investigate murders that may be connected to the outbreak. Reports of Aphnai warships on the Fringe make clear that the next invasion could arrive before anyone is ready.

Expect starship missions, alien powers, conspiracies, and a good amount of crew friction. The books work best in order because the central conflict grows from the crash in The North Star into a broader struggle over who can be trusted, who holds power, and whether the Alliance can hold together.
