She is determined to bring justice to victims the system has failed. Fortress operative Noah Mann insists on going with her, and their pursuit of a murderer turning Violet’s hometown into a hunting ground forces both of them to weigh what they are willing to risk for each other.

Fatal Intent and later titles keep the stakes high, tying Artemis operations to assassins, conspiracies, and enemies drawn from earlier Fortress books. The women of Artemis are not sidekicks. They plan ops, go undercover, kick in doors, and make the kind of calls only someone who has lived in the dark can make.
