Series background & context

This older trilogy, Fear I, Fear II, and Fear III, is built around a pairing Amarie Avant readers still talk about, Luxury Whitson and Victor. If you like powerful men, big secrets, and a romance that starts with danger already in the room, this is the lane.

Luxury is an ordinary young woman trying to move through grief and everyday life when Victor crashes into it. He is wealthy, magnetic, and used to control. He is also not merely a rich stranger. Victor is tied to violence, hidden agendas, and a job that reaches straight into Luxury's world.

That setup carries the whole series. The first book is about collision. The second pushes the couple deeper into Victor's power, including the pressure of his royal and family life. By the third, the story is all about consequences, truth, and whether love can survive the world Victor comes from.

What makes the trilogy work is that Victor is never meant to feel easy. He can be protective and deeply committed, but he is also secretive, intense, and sometimes frightening. Luxury is not drawn into a safe fantasy. She is pulled into a relationship that asks her to decide whether love is worth the fear that comes with it.

The books mix billionaire romance with suspense, family conflict, and a strong streak of obsession. They are also very much a trilogy, not a set of standalones.

Read them in order if you want the full rise and fallout of Victor and Luxury's relationship. Each book tightens the same emotional knot until the series finally has to decide whether fear or love wins.
