Fairy True Books in Order

Fairy True is Avery Flynn having fun with fairy-tale chaos. These books take familiar story shapes and twist them into quick paranormal romances full of treasure hunters, werewolves, magic objects, and very modern attitudes about who gets to control the adventure.

The tone is playful from the start. Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies sends former fiances up a magic beanstalk and into a cloud kingdom, which tells you pretty clearly that this series is not interested in behaving. Big, Bad Red keeps going with a tougher, sharper Red Riding Hood setup involving stolen treasures, a dangerous sword, and a werewolf hero with a curse to break.

What keeps the books from feeling gimmicky is that the characters still drive everything. Beneath the magical setups, these are stories about trust, betrayal, second chances, and people who are not thrilled to need each other again. The fantasy pieces raise the stakes, but the emotional arc stays easy to follow.

Because the books are shorter, the series works best when you want something fast, sexy, and a little weird in a good way. There is action, there are monsters, and there is a strong sense that Flynn is enjoying herself.
