Then Princess of Roses shifts into a more courtly, cursed mode, as Rosemary Mercer agrees to serve Prince Darian to pay her father's debts and finds herself caught in a story about pride, monsters, and a kingdom under threat.

Across all four books, the setting matters. These are not just isolated castles with new names. The kingdoms trade, feud, intermarry, and pass rumors along. That shared background lets Marshall drop in recurring faces and quiet callbacks without making later books hard to follow.
