Series background & context
The Ethan Frost books sit firmly in Tracy Wolff's darker contemporary romance lane. The heart of the series is the relationship between Chloe Girard and billionaire Ethan Frost, two people who are strongly drawn to each other and just as strongly shaped by the pain they are carrying. The result is emotional, very adult, and much more interested in damage, recovery, and control than in a simple fantasy of wealth.
The first three books, Ruined, Addicted, and Exposed, work best in order because they follow the rise, collapse, and rebuilding of Chloe and Ethan's relationship. Secrets from both sides keep pressing into the present, and love never arrives cleanly. Even when the books are at their hottest, the real engine is trust, what it costs, what breaks it, and how hard it is to believe you deserve it after trauma. Flawed is linked to that world rather than continuing the same central couple, shifting focus to Miles Girard and Tori Reed.
If you are looking for lighter billionaire romance, this is probably not it. The Ethan Frost books are moodier and more intense than that. But if you want high emotion, obsessive chemistry, and characters trying to build something real while their pasts keep trying to pull them under, this is one of Wolff's clearest contemporary signatures.
