Series background & context

Eternity Springs, The McBrides of Texas is a mini‑arc within the larger Eternity Springs universe. These books follow three McBride cousins, Jackson, Tucker, and Boone, as they leave Colorado for the small town of Redemption, Texas, only to find that the healing magic of Eternity Springs has a long reach.

Each cousin arrives in Redemption at a different crossroads. Jackson, a musician whose career and marriage have both crashed, comes home to lick his wounds and figure out how to be a father on new terms. Tucker, a former Army Ranger burned out by politics and combat, turns to the outdoors he loves and decides to open a wilderness survival school. Boone, outwardly the golden boy with charm and money, is privately hollowed out by the choices that drove him away from family and career.

The series uses those personal crises as an excuse to build out an entire new town. Redemption has its own main street, its own gossip network, and its own set of locals who take an interest in the newcomers. At the same time, familiar faces from Eternity Springs drift through on visits or phone calls, reminding readers that these stories are part of a bigger tapestry.

Romance is central in each book. Jackson’s story pairs him with a woman who challenges his view of success and loyalty. Tucker finds himself drawn to a bridal shop owner whose professional obsession with weddings hides deep doubts about marriage. Boone meets a heroine who sees past his confident facade and forces him to confront the grief he has been outrunning for years.

As with the Colorado books, March leans into themes of second chances, forgiveness, and the ways trauma can echo through families. The McBride cousins are not perfect heroes; they are men who have made mistakes and shut down emotionally, and the novels take time to show how hard it can be to open up again. Yet the tone stays hopeful, anchored by humor, chemistry, and the comfort of a community that refuses to give up on people.

You can read the McBrides of Texas trilogy on its own as a satisfying family saga with three linked but separate romances. If you are already invested in Eternity Springs, these books deepen the mythology, showing that the spirit of that mountain town is as much about the people who carry its lessons as it is about any one place on a map.
